Rules in Anchorage Municipality
- All loads must be covered and secured; uncovered or unsecured loads are charged $30-$60 at the landfill and Central Transfer Station (AMC 26.80.50). Source
- Residential disposal loads must fit within 5.5 ft wide x 8 ft long x 3 ft high and arrive in a car, unmodified pickup, van or trailer of that size. Source
- Tires are accepted at all Solid Waste Services facilities (rims removed); loads over ten tires must go to the Anchorage Regional Landfill. Refrigerators and freezers must be emptied with doors removed and carry a refrigerant removal fee. Source
